The Amplify event was a chance for all CiCCs to showcase a sample of the work they have done to other Local Authorities across the East Midlands, providing an overview of the region’s current and previous achievements. The event was developed in response to young people who participated in ANV regional forums feeling the need to meet and consult with Corporate Parents from the region’s Local Authorities to see how their CiCCs operate and how they reached their impressive attainments so that they could take this back for use with their own CiCCs.
"I would defy any DCS or Lead Member in the country not to have been impressed or left in any doubt as to the value that CiCCs can bring to local services"
The overall feedback was brilliant and Mike Lindsay from the office of the Children’s Rights Director felt this was a very important model which should be replicated, stating: "It is a model that I would commend when thinking about the way forward for engaging and supporting the work and development of CiCCs around the country. I would defy any DCS or Lead Member in the country not to have been impressed or left in any doubt as to the value that CiCCs can bring to local services. It would be marvelous if there were some repeating of this type of CiCC Event wider".
